One Request, Marketing Across Platforms: AI Is Moving from Advice to Action

“Find out which adverts performed best this month, then prepare recommendations for the next campaign.”

AI can quickly produce a convincing-looking analysis. But if it has no connection to the advertising account, has not seen sales data and does not know which products are in stock, colleagues still need to supply the missing information and carry out the work platform by platform.

Those steps often account for much of the time a business wants to save.

On 4 November, Adobe announced that CX Enterprise Coworker is available within ChatGPT, Claude, Databricks Genie, Gemini for business and Microsoft Copilot. It lets marketers work on customer experiences through their preferred AI platforms. Adobe lists campaign analysis, audience forecasting, customer journey coordination and work management among its uses.

Adobe also announced pre-built connectors using standards such as MCP to connect partner tools, including Amazon Ads, tools for Meta campaigns and other enterprise systems. The company describes cross-system execution with human oversight. The update illustrates a direction in which AI can connect analysis to subsequent actions.

For a small or medium-sized business, a hypothetical example helps explain the opportunity.

A retailer is preparing a weekend promotion. Staff first check stock, identify suitable customer groups, organise the offer, prepare emails and adverts, and submit everything for approval.

When that information is spread across several systems, staff repeatedly download reports, copy and paste data, and check versions. Even with AI-written copy ready, the campaign can remain stuck.

A useful question is how many of those steps AI can help the team connect.

For example, a workflow could read authorised inventory data, identify products with adequate stock and prepare a campaign draft using approved promotional rules. A manager could review the content, audience, budget and supporting data in one place before approving it.

This example is a workflow design concept, not a ready-made feature that Adobe says every business can immediately use. What is possible still needs to be assessed system by system.

The company's internal data may not yet be ready for AI to use.

Product names may differ between the website, inventory and accounting systems. One sales report may account for refunds while another does not. Customer lists may lack clear records of communication preferences.

If those definitions remain inconsistent, faster cross-platform execution can leave colleagues with more problems to investigate afterwards.

Businesses can begin with one clearly defined, recurring workflow: a weekly advertising report or campaign drafts based on approved product information. Record the time saved, the amount of revision required and whether the wrong data was used.

Use the actual results to decide how much additional authority to grant next.

Reading reports, editing content, adjusting budgets and sending messages can have separate permissions. Approval steps, the person responsible for review and the records retained after each action should all be defined when the workflow is designed.

The business signal in Adobe's update is that enterprise AI's value is extending into everyday execution. For teams, the desired outcome is less time moving data and tracking versions, and more time assessing strategy and serving customers.

The next time you ask AI to “help run a promotion”, first consider whether the company has a clear workflow it can follow from the first step to the last.
